Overt Channel welcomes Zach Beving to the team.
We are pleased to announce that Zach Beving has joined Overt Channel. Zach brings a wealth of knowledge in cybersecurity, IT operations, and regulatory compliance, along with the discipline and rigor of a background in intelligence analysis, to the Overt team.
The future for Overt and Zach is an exciting one. Bart Holzer, owner of Overt, says, “Zach has been a quiet force multiplier for our clients since the day he started. Zach will take the lead on several of Overt’s compliance offerings, including SOC 2 readiness, vendor risk management, and security program development. He will also support clients preparing for CMMC requirements, focusing on the day-to-day processes and documentation that turn a comprehensive compliance strategy into reality. When asked about his interest in compliance, Zach replied, “Compliance done right is not a checkbox exercise – it is how a company proves to its customers that it does what it says it does. That is the kind of work I love.”
Zach will also serve key clients, supporting engagements as a compliance analyst and GRC specialist.

Zach’s career is rooted in information technology and intelligence. A dynamic IT and intelligence professional, he has a proven track record across cybersecurity, systems administration, and intelligence analysis, and holds a Top Secret/SCI clearance. His technical foundation is broad and deep: GIAC-certified in Security Operations (GSOC) and credentialed by CompTIA (A+, Security+, Linux+) and Microsoft as an Azure Administrator Associate. Before joining Overt, Zach managed internal audit activities for United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM). He is based in Columbia, Tennessee.
